13 Top Survey Companies To Make Extra Money In Your PJ’s
Looking to easily supplement your income with a few extra bucks each month?
In this post, I outline 13 top survey companies to join to make extra money right from home.
The best thing about these paid surveys is that you can do these anytime at your own pace whenever you’re available. All you really need is an internet connection and your computer, tablet, or phone.
So whether you have some free time during your lunch break, you’re waiting to pick your kid’s up from school, or you’re just sitting at home in your PJ’s, this is a great way to earn some extra dough.
Can You Really Make Money Taking Surveys Online?
Now you might be skeptical about these online survey sites after reading about how easy it is to earn extra money through them each month.
If you’ve heard scary stories in the past, I’m sure you do need to be wary about some of them as people do try to scam people out there!
However, the paid surveys I talk about in this post definitely aren’t. Tons of people are legitimately getting paid to fill out surveys online. They’re entirely free to use so you shouldn’t have to pay at all to use their service.
I’ve personally been paid through Paypal, gift card, or check from these sites countless of times over the years so they’re legit online surveys that pay cash.
Why Do Companies Even Pay You To Fill Out Surveys?
Companies are willing to pay a lot of money for their consumer’s opinions.
Why?
Because it helps them to understand their target market and they can get some insight as to how they can improve their products and services right from their consumers.
Some companies will pay you to actually go in and audit their business while others will give you compensation through paid surveys for your opinion about their product or service.
Since they need your opinions, why not take advantage of the opportunity to make extra money while letting companies know what they can improve on to further satisfy your needs and wants!
13 Best Sites For Legitimate Paid Surveys Online
Here are some legit paid survey companies that will actually pay you. If you have some downtime and want to make extra money, I highly recommend that you check out the following sites.
If you’re looking to earn and save even more money while you shop, head on over to my post about the 7 awesome shopping apps that help me easily save $200 per month!
1. PineCone Research
If you’re looking for a great site to earn some extra cash that includes completing surveys and testing out products, PineCone Research is the right site for you.
They’re more selective with who they accept as survey panelists and they don’t send as many opportunities as other sites, but the surveys are usually more tailored to your demographic.
Other survey companies will often send you emails where you have to fill out a mini survey to ensure you’re a qualified candidate before you get paid, but you end up spending a lot of time to only find that you’re not even qualified to complete the rest of it.
Talk about a waste of time!
Luckily, Pinecone Research isn’t like this and most of the surveys they send your way will compensate you.
Their surveys pay $3 each but once you reach a certain number of surveys, you will start to earn $5 per survey.
Check out PineCone Research (US) if you’re from the US and PineCone Research (CA) if you’re from Canada.
2. OpinionOutpost
OpinionOutpost is one of my favorite survey sites to make extra money each month.
They send you multiple survey opportunities per week (I often get multiple surveys per day!) and you earn a varying number of points for each that you are qualified to complete.
They also have cash prize draws that you can apply to which will give you a chance to earn even more cash if you win.
I’ve had great experiences and only good things to say about this site over the years and I always get paid by gift card or Paypal promptly within a few days.
Sign up with OpinionOutpost and start earning free cash!
3. YouGov
YouGov allows you to share your opinion and shape the news while getting compensated for participating in online surveys and focus groups.
You can start redeeming your points at 35,000 points (which is equal to $15) with Paypal and gift cards including Amazon, Best Buy, iTunes, etc.
Sign up with YouGov and get an extra 100 points as a sign up bonus!
4. Swagbucks
Swagbucks allows you to earn Swagbucks (SB) points when you complete a variety of tasks.
To earn SB points, you can complete surveys, watch videos on the go, play games, use Swagbucks’ search engine, and earn cashback when you shop online.
Once you earn enough SB points, you can redeem your points for cash through Paypal or you can choose to redeem them for gift cards.
I’ve used Swagbucks for years now since I was a teen so they’re definitely legit. I usually redeem my points for cash through Paypal and I’m always paid promptly.

5. Respondent
Respondent is one of my most favorite survey sites to earn extra money from because they offer such a high payout for each survey.
They are a little different compared to other survey sites because instead of just completing it on your own time at a computer or phone, these surveys are usually conducted through a one-on-one interview over video chat.
Sometimes they even have focus group opportunities where you physically go to a location to do the survey.
All you have to do is fill out your profile where you let them know what your occupation is so they can match you up to surveys that correspond to your skills and experience.
Their pay rate for each survey is a really great compensation for your time. Some surveys I’ve been given the opportunity to sign up for pay from $20 all the way up to $300 just to talk to the interviewer about your opinions and thoughts for 30 minutes to an hour!
Click here to check out Respondent and start earning today. I highly recommend checking out their surveys if you’re looking to make some extra cash!

Springboard America will give you 50 to 500 points each time for giving your input and views to help shape the decisions made by businesses and policy-makers across the US.
Once you’ve reached 5000 points in your account, you can choose to redeem your rewards for a $50 virtual or physical Visa card, Amazon gift card, iTunes, Google Play, and many more.
Springboard America is currently only open to US residents.

10. SurveyLion
SurveyLion is a great survey site that pays you for your opinions when you successfully complete surveys online.
I’ve used this site for multiple years now and have always had a great experience with them, from completing the surveys to receiving a check on time every quarter. I usually get multiple survey opportunities emailed to me every single week so it’s a great way to earn some extra cash with minimal work.

12. WebPerspectives
WebPerspectives is a legit survey site that pays you up to 500 points each survey to give your opinion. You can redeem your voucher to a variety of stores including Amazon, Air Miles, The Bay, Starbucks, etc after you reach 1000 points in your account.
Membership is only open to Canadians though, so if you’re from Canada, definitely join Web Perspectives and make extra money!
13. Rakuten
What if I told you that each time you shop online, you’re throwing money away if you’re not getting cashback? If you’re not using Rakuten right now, you’re doing just that!
How Rakuten (formerly known as Ebates) works is you receive cashback each time you purchase something online on top of any sales, discounts, or free shipping coupons that are currently available on the store’s site.
For example, if you’re purchasing something that has a 5% cashback percentage and the store you’re buying from has a promotional offer going on for 40% off and free shipping, you get a total of 45% off your purchase plus free shipping!
Although Rakuten isn’t a site where you fill out surveys to get paid, I wanted to include it in this list because it’s another great way to make extra money. So far I’ve earned more than $400 just from shopping online like I regularly do!
If you want more in-depth information about Rakuten, check out my easy step-by-step tutorial on how to use Rakuten to earn cashback. And right now, if you sign up for Rakuten with my link, you will get $30 cashback! It’s totally free to use, so what are you waiting for?
